NOLA Public Schools to Resume Normal Operations Tuesday

(New Orleans – January 26, 2026) —With improving winter weather conditions, NOLA Public Schools (NOLA-PS) will resume normal operations on Tuesday, January 27. This decision follows close coordination with city emergency officials and school leaders.

District and school facilities teams have assessed conditions for safe school operations and to ensure bus services can proceed safely.

NOLA-PS remains committed to keeping families informed. Families should follow their regular school calendar for tomorrow. We encourage families to check the digital platforms of their respective schools for any further updates or communications regarding school operations.

NOLA-PS updates will continue through our website, social media channels, and local news outlets as needed.

We sincerely thank our families, staff, and community for their patience and understanding during this cold snap. Please continue to stay safe and warm.
